What is Collagen

Collagen is a type of protein that connects and supports other bodily tissues such as skin, bone, tendon, muscle and cartilage. It also supports internal organs.

Collagen is made up of three helical polypeptide chains.

Collagen works with elastin to support body tissues to give firmness and strength in lungs, bones, tendon and blood vessel. It works with keratin to give skin strength, flexibility and resiliency.

Collagen plays a vital role in the structural formation for cells, tissues, and organs. If it were not for collagen, the body would literally fall apart. Korea Collagen peptides also called collagen hydrolysate are manufactured by the further

How does Korea
COLLAGEN PEPTIDE work

When administered orally, collagen peptide reaches the small intestine where it can be digested to form dipeptides and tripeptides or free amino acids. These peptides are easily absorbed across the small intestine membrane where they enter the blood stream. Through blood vessels, the Korea collagen peptides are then distributed in the human body and in particular in the dermis of the skin, in joints and in muscles where an in vivo experiment has proven that they can remain up to 14 days: Once in the local connective tissue, the Korea collagen peptides can act with a double mechanism, i) Korea collagen peptides and free amino acids provide the building blocks for the formation of collagen and elastin fibres; ii) Korea Collagen peptides stimulate the proliferation of fibloblasts and the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Based on the hypothesis drawn from the referred scientific literature the benefits of fibroblasts activation can be summarised as follows:

- Increased collagen synthesis
- Increased hyaluronic acid synthesis

Stimulating the fibroblasts is the key to increase the levels of collagen and hyaluronic acid in the connective tissue.
